Family and Child Guidance Centers, Inc, dba, Child and Family Guidance Centers is a non-profit  corporation serving families impacted by mental illness, child abuse and neglect, high-risk behaviors, and substance abuse.

OUR MISSION:

“To provide quality accessible mental health services to strengthen children, families, and communities.”

Established in 1896, Child & Family Guidance Center has nurtured children, strengthen families, and empowered individuals by providing comprehensive solutions to life’s problems through counseling, education, public awareness, and community partnerships for 110 years.

Child and Family Guidance Center has been a United Way Partner since 1924.

Helping Those Without Resources

Last year more than 10,000 individuals turned to the Center in moments of crisis. Most had no other access to essential mental health services. Often this help was life-saving.

CFGC is one of the largest non-profit providers of a full spectrum of outpatient mental health services children and adults in our community. Sliding scale, free, or reduced-cost services are provided for low-income and “working poor” families.

Why Your Help Is Needed

Our Annual Fund drive helps us provide low-cost services to those who need these services most. Dollar for dollar, your gift will go further with CFGC due to the wide support we receive from more than 460 community volunteers and our funding partners such as the United Way, government grants, contracts, civic organizations, and service fees.
